About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional HR Manager to join our team at Canonical. As a Regional HR Manager, you will be responsible for leading the HR function in the EMEA region, providing strategic guidance and support to our business leaders and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the HR team in the EMEA region, providing coaching and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's business objectives and values.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to business leaders on HR-related matters, including talent development, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to design and implement HR processes and systems that support business growth and success.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and providing guidance to the business.
  • Conduct regular HR audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Partner with the Global Head of HR to develop and implement global HR strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • HR experience leading initiatives across regions within a technology business.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders.
  • Good balance between leading and executing; in this role, you will need to be hands-on involved in the daily HR routines.
  • Experience in working in a remote-first organization.
  • Able to leverage data to make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge and practical implementation of HR practices and employment law across EMEA.
  • Fluent in business English (written and spoken).
  • Self-motivated, organized, accurate, confident, authentic, results-oriented, open-minded, enthusiastic, and energetic.
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
