Your Role
We invite you to embrace a new opportunity as a Reliability Assurance Engineer. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) within a pioneering environment. Collaborating with a dynamic and proactive team, you will be responsible for executing RAM activities, which include:
- Developing and managing the RAM Plan and RAM reports.
- Conducting product or system-level RAM predictions.
- Creating and overseeing RAM Monitoring plans and reports.
- Designing RAM demonstration test plans and reports.
Your daily responsibilities will involve close collaboration with various departments, including project management, warranty, and procurement, while applying RAM processes and methodologies as outlined in our guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Execute RAM-related tasks in Projects & Programs, ensuring alignment with Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives while optimizing RAM performance.
- Provide design recommendations based on RAM analyses, applying principles of 'Design for Reliability' and 'Design for Maintainability'.
- Assess the adequacy of architectural decisions against System or Product RAM targets.
- Specify and supervise RAM demonstration tests as necessary.
- During the operational phase, validate field failure data collected by the Warranty team and generate concise RAM monitoring reports.
- Collaborate closely with the Quality department to engage in the reliability growth management process.
Candidate Profile
We prioritize enthusiasm and a positive attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, the following qualifications will enhance your success in this role:
- A degree in Engineering.
- Preferred: A degree specializing in Dependability (RAM).
- A minimum of two years of experience in RAM or RAMS functions.
- A minimum of four years of experience in the railway sector, particularly in railway signaling.
- Desirable knowledge of the architecture and functionality of railway signaling systems, electronics, software engineering, and Integrated Logistic Support.
- Strong foundation in probability and statistics; familiarity with data science methods and tools (e.g., data mining, machine learning) is advantageous.
- Proficient in RAM analysis and prediction techniques for Systems & Products.
- Competent in RAM monitoring and demonstration based on field data.
- Solid understanding of signaling principles, architecture, and functionality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in computer applications; knowledge of programming languages such as VBA, C++, R, or Python is a plus.
- Fluency in English is essential for articulating RAM studies; proficiency in additional languages, especially French, is beneficial.
