At Siemens Gamesa, we are committed to innovation and sustainability in the renewable energy sector. We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the successful execution of SCADA Engineering Projects for offshore wind farms.

As the SCADA Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our vision for renewable energy forward. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the SCADA Project Engineering Manager within the project execution framework.
  • Coordinating SCADA systems for offshore projects globally.
  • Supporting the sales team with technical evaluations of tenders and contracts.
  • Managing change orders for additional customer requests not covered in the original contract.
  • Overseeing the project execution process from contract signing to client handover.
  • Requesting and organizing resources from the SCADA team as needed.
  • Monitoring and updating key milestones for SCADA projects.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of systems by collaborating with Central Engineering and Project Management.
  • Addressing open issues related to customer projects.
  • Providing technical support during installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Engaging in customer meetings to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Preparing the Bill of Materials (BoM) for SCADA panels in collaboration with the production team.
  • Overseeing SCADA panel production and coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
  • Collaborating with logistics teams to ensure successful delivery of panels.
  • Managing options related to SCADA system delivery.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of project execution and 'as built' records.
  • Identifying challenges and developing solutions to enhance wind farm SCADA systems.
  • Expecting some travel to project sites and client locations.

What you need to excel in this role:

A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to driving change are essential. We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A strong background in project management or engineering management, with experience in SCADA and automation systems, ideally within the wind energy sector or related industries.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as plant automation, controls & instrumentation, or electrical engineering; practical experience in these areas is also valuable.
  • Experience in customer project management and execution.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex tasks while fostering positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
