Job Summary:
Lilly is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Global Supply Chain - Transport team. As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for defining and documenting global business processes, identifying and driving improvements, and governing the execution of these processes.
About the Role:
The Associate Director Global Supply Chain - Transport will serve as the business process owner for Lilly's global warehousing processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and documenting the Transport business process steps
- Designing the process flow, key success measures, and interaction with other processes
- Implementing transformational or continuous improvement changes to the process
- Benchmarking the process amongst industry peers
- Handing over the process to global and local Transport teams in the business
- Training users on the business process
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in material flows, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. Key skills and qualifications include:
- BS or MS degree in Materials Management, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- At least 5 years of manufacturing and/or supply chain experience
- Strong Materials Movement business process knowledge
- Knowledge of systems required to manage material transport internally, inter-company, and last mile (ERP; WMS; TMS)
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also essential. Additionally, the candidate should have good problem-solving and influencing skills, and be able to analyze project needs and balance competing interests.
