About Us
Cameco Corporation is a leading global provider of uranium fuel products, powering a clean-air world. Our McArthur River mine in northern Saskatchewan is the world's largest high-grade uranium mine, producing uranium for nuclear fuel products.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of maintenance tradespeople in maximizing asset utilization and ensuring operational reliability. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing oversight for production drilling equipment, development equipment, and underground concrete/grouting equipment.
- Ensuring the maintenance of underground mobile equipment, including LHD Loaders, Scissor decks, Skid Steers, man carriers, and other related underground mining equipment.
- Leading a welding crew for both surface and underground requirements.
- Collaborating with other discipline supervisors and departments to achieve common goals.
- Participating in predictive, preventative, and condition-based maintenance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson heavy duty equipment mechanic certification or a technical diploma in a mechanical related discipline.
- 10 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent.
- 3 years minimum working in an underground mining environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a Saskatchewan supervisors certificate.
- First aid certificate.
- Ability to work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with SAP, 4-Hana, Sigga, Bentley, and Microsoft's suite of applications is an asset.
