About the Role
Uber is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee safety and risk management across DACH, Iberia & South, Central & Eastern Europe (SCEE) regions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing safety strategies, driving operational excellence, and fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive safety strategy for the region, aligned with Uber's global safety vision.
- Collaborate with senior operations and cross-functional leadership to drive safe growth and operational excellence.
- Lead the development and implementation of safety policies, processes, and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including NGOs and industry partners, to promote safety standards and best practices.
- Drive innovation in safety through the development of new in-app safety products and partnerships.
Requirements
- Proven experience in safety, operations, or risk management, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision making.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
