Health and Safety Professional

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a Health and Safety Professional. Working under the direction of project managers and senior consultants, the candidate will work on consulting opportunities both nationally and internationally. As part of our dedication to excellence, we offer a dynamic internship program designed to nurture talented individuals interested in pursuing a career in health and safety management within the corporate sector.

About the Role

We are looking for individuals with a passion for sustainability and safety processes and the following background:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in occupational health and safety, process safety, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety principles and practices, with a particular interest in process safety, fire safety, and Atex.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify potential safety risks and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
  • Knowledge of legal regulations in HS and HS and PS management systems.
  • Proficiency level of both English and Spanish.
  • Availability for travel (if required).

Responsibilities

The Health and Safety Professional will be responsible for:

  • Conducting health and safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with project managers and senior consultants to deliver consulting projects.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to clients on health and safety matters.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in health and safety management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of health and safety principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software tools.
  • Knowledge of legal regulations in HS and HS and PS management systems.
  • Proficiency level of both English and Spanish.
