About the Role

We are Amazon, a pioneer in innovation and growth. As we continue to expand, we need to work efficiently to keep our team members safe, motivated, and empowered. To achieve this, we're seeking an enthusiastic Safety Specialist to support our Health and Safety team in one of our Fulfillment Centers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in delivering safety performance and monitoring, aligning with personnel, team, and functional goals and objectives.
  2. Facilitate and/or arrange training programs on critical Fulfillment Center Health and Safety issues.
  3. Support the implementation of Health and Safety programs within Fulfillment Center Operations, while delivering key risk assessment activities.
  4. Drive compliance with local and EU legislation.
  5. Ensure that Health and Safety systems are accurate and up-to-date, with completed incident reports and supporting documentation.
  6. Assist the Health and Safety Manager with the construction of incident prevention programs.
  7. Contribute to Fulfillment Center requests for improvement of on-site safety and positively impact accident trends.
  8. Prepare responses to insurers or solicitors in response to any personal injury claims.
  9. Participate in the EU Fulfillment Center Health and Safety Safety Audit Programme.
  10. Assist with the coordination and training of new Health and Safety team members.
  11. Act as a proxy for the Health and Safety Manager, as and when required.
  12. Arrange, facilitate, and contribute to Fulfillment Center Health and Safety Steering Committee meetings.
  13. Conduct basic surveys and checks in the Fulfillment Center environment, examining facility processes, Health and Safety supplies, and employee behaviors.

Requirements

We're looking for a Master's degree holder in Occupational Health and Safety, with a strong understanding of Spanish Environment, Health and Safety legislation. Advanced proficiency in the local language and fluent English are also required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies, as well as experience in planning or managing environmentally conscious initiatives, are preferred but not necessary.
