Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Vice President of Global Patient Safety and Risk Management to lead our drug safety and risk management function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the safety of our products and managing risks associated with our pipeline and marketed products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global patient safety and risk management strategies to ensure the safety of our products and manage risks associated with our pipeline and marketed products.
- Lead and manage a team of drug safety professionals to support the development and implementation of global patient safety and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, regulatory affairs, and commercial operations, to ensure alignment and effective implementation of global patient safety and risk management strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, including the FDA and EMA, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to stay up-to-date on the latest regulatory developments.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leadership on global patient safety and risk management matters.
- Develop and implement processes and systems to ensure effective management of adverse event reports, including serious adverse events.
- Manage and maintain relationships with external partners, including contract research organizations and vendors, to support the development and implementation of global patient safety and risk management strategies.
Qualifications:
- MD, PhD, or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
- 10+ years of experience in drug safety and risk management, with a strong background in regulatory affairs and compliance.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective global patient safety and risk management strategies.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading and managing teams of drug safety professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Intimate knowledge of global regulatory requirements and guidelines, including those related to adverse event reporting and pharmacovigilance.
