We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in the EMEACLA Region. This role will play a critical part in driving results in health and safety regulatory compliance, standards, injury prevention, and risk management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Compliance Management: Drive health and safety regulatory compliance systems to ensure control of applicable legislations and standards, including ISO 45001.
- Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment: Coordinate health and safety hazards identification of all activities within the region, support risk assessment, and relevant control measure identification and execution.
- Standard Implementation and Development: Support country implementation of applicable Edwards Lifesciences health and safety standards and regional health and safety programs.
- Incident Reporting and Performance Improvement: Drive incident reporting, investigation, improvement, and health and safety performance.
- Health and Safety Guidance and Improvement: Provide guidance in health and safety management based on ISO 45001 standards and support continuous improvement.
- Global Standard Development: Contribute to regional and global standard development and improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Science, or Health and Safety.
- At least 4 years of experience in EHS-related roles.
- Proficiency in English is a must.
- Substantial understanding and knowledge of ISO and other relevant regulations.
- NEBOSH or other equivalent certifications are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence change.
