About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ICQA Area Manager to join our fulfillment center team at Amazon. As a key member of our Inventory Control and Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for leading our space management operations and ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in our fulfillment centers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Space Management Team: Oversee the space management team and ensure that our fulfillment centers are optimized for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  2. Inventory Control and Quality Assurance: Coordinate inventory control maintenance and random counts to ensure compliance with network count strategies and SOX requirements.
  3. Performance Analysis: Review and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  4. Building Space Integrity: Conduct measurements of building space integrity and accuracy, and provide feedback to the Operations management team to ensure that our fulfillment centers meet the highest standards.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with all department stakeholders to identify and understand key projects, initiatives, and system enhancements that impact our fulfillment centers.
  6. Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of hourly associates in consolidation operations and space, inventory control/quality assurance projects within the fulfillment centers.
  7. Risk Management: Partner with capacity planning to understand risks and plan accordingly both internally and at a network level.
  8. Customer Complaints: Review and analyze customer complaints and defect data, and develop corresponding action plans to reduce future incidents.
  9. Performance Appraisal: Appraise the performance of team members, develop, reward, and coach employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  10. Process Improvement: Drive process improvements and team members' ability to keep pace with our rapid growth, while motivating others and reducing employee turnover.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualification/experience in operations management.
  2. Advanced MS Office Suite User: Advanced MS Office suite user, especially Excel.
  3. Language Proficiency: Proficient in the local language and English, both spoken and written.
  4. People Management Experience: Relevant experience in people management.
  5. Influencing and Communication Skills: Proven ability to influence peers or stakeholders in varying levels of seniority within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Initiative and Results-Oriented: Ability to take initiative and produce results, while multi-tasking and prioritizing in a complex environment.
  2. Data Analysis and Inventory Optimization: Relevant experience in performing data analysis and inventory topography optimization.
  3. Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies: Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and techniques.
