Key Responsibilities:- Legal Advice and Defense: Provide legal advice and defense to our companies, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company policies.
- Contractual Affairs: Coordinate and control the work outsourced to our network of lawyers, consultants, and external specialists to guarantee they carry out their tasks in an optimal manner.
- Contract Review and Negotiation: Review and negotiate extension initial terms of concession contracts for all our terminals, as well as concessional agreements modifications and negotiations.
- Legal Representation: Defend and represent Maersk in legal matters, taking necessary actions and attending hearings to protect and exercise the company's rights against third parties.
- HSSE Support: Support our HSSE team in serious and fatal accidents at work in all terminals, managing and achieving agreements with external lawyers.
- Court Processes: Lead court processes directly or in coordination with external lawyers.
- Insurance Supervision: Supervise insurance policies contained in agreements with contractors and subcontractors.
- Law Degree: A law degree is required for this position.
- English Language: English language proficiency at C1 level is required.
- Maritime Law Knowledge: Valuable knowledge of Maritime law or international law is highly desirable.
