Automation Engineer
In the role of Automation Engineer, you will hold responsibilities within the Engineering function of our sites, specifically in the area of Automation.
- Automation Area: You will develop standards and site operations in accordance with Corporate Standards and Best Practices.
- Projects Area: You will oversee assigned projects from Design, Execution, and Qualification (including CSV), and provide support by offering Project Management tools for non-automation related projects.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy that aligns with the company's objectives.
• Lead the planning, design, and execution of automation projects at the site.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement to enhance existing automation systems and processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify optimization opportunities and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance of all automation systems and processes with relevant regulations and industry standards, including FDA regulations, GxP guidelines, and Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP).
• Identify potential risks associated with automation initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Manage budgets for automation projects, ensuring efficient and cost-effective resource allocation.
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or Chemical) and/or
- Master's degree in engineering management, technical management, or business administration.
- Over 5 years of experience in technical departments: Automation Engineer (minimum 3 years) and Project Management (minimum 2 years).
- Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with the SIEMENS suite for SCADA systems; additional knowledge of DELTA V (EMERSON) is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of various engineering disciplines and their interrelations.
- Thorough understanding of the qualification process (URS, FS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) is essential.
- Process Safety mindset when executing tasks.
- Demonstrated supervisory and technical skills.
- Excellent teamwork capabilities with a focus on client needs (Site Production and Quality).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Aptitude for risk management.
