Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Officer to join our team. As a Legal Officer, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our operations on a wide range of legal matters. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our company operates within legal boundaries and mitigates legal risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice to management and various departments on legal issues affecting our operations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure they comply with applicable laws and accurately reflect our company's interests.
  • Identify potential legal and compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Assist in the resolution of legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
  • Manage our intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, and enforce our rights when necessary.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting our industry and ensure that our compliance programs are up to date and effective.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues, including case law, statutes, and regulations, to support informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law; Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a legal officer or in a similar legal role for at least 6 years.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate law.
  • Experience or exposure in Compliance and Privacy.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, French is a BIG PLUS, any other languages will be a plus.
