Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our analytics platform, ensuring seamless data integration, and driving business insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Platform Development: Design and develop a scalable and secure data platform to empower teams to build reports, draw insights, and automate tasks.
  • Data Warehouse Management: Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to develop and maintain our data warehouse, ensuring data quality, security, and governance.
  • Partnership with Product and Engineering: Work closely with product and engineering teams to enhance our data platform, enabling the development of AI/ML-powered products.

Requirements

  • Experience in Data Engineering: Proven experience in building data products, including gathering stakeholder requirements, agile product development, and staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL, Python, and experience with modern data stack technologies, including ELT/ETL pipelines, data lakes, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Experience in provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, availability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Real-time Data Pipelines: Experience with real-time or near-real-time data pipelines, including Kafka, PubSub, Flink, Storm, and Structured Streaming.
  • Cloud Analytics: Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, PubSub, Cloud IAM, Networking, Cloud Monitoring/Trace/Logging.
  • DevOps Practices: Experience with Gitlab pipelines, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
