Job Title: Data Engineering Lead - Blockchain Expert

We are seeking an exceptional Data Engineering Lead to join our team and drive the design and scaling of our data infrastructure. As a key member of our data-driven organization, you will play a crucial role in architecting and building our data pipelines, working closely with data analysts to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Indexing Complex On-Chain Data: Design systems that index complex on-chain data for ease of use and speedy access, ensuring gas-efficient protocols that keep user experiences snappy, pleasant, and cost-effective.
  • Data Engineering: Develop large-scale data pipelines to provide the data that drives our understanding of users and our protocol's real-world performance.
  • Code Review and Mentorship: Write clean code in a highly collaborative open-source ecosystem, with a focus on code review and mentorship to ensure high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Leading and Scaling Teams: Manage priorities, scope deliverables, and project manage alongside various stakeholders, with a focus on team coaching and structure.
  • Data Analysis and Research: Translate business problems into scalable engineering solutions, leveraging a strong intuition and ability to see beyond technical requirements.
  • Product Mindset: Collaborate with product management, data science, engineering, marketing, and other teams to drive impact through data.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of full-time experience in Data Engineering at a software, financial services, or related technology organization.
  • 2+ years of experience with databases and data pipelines.
  • 1+ years of experience managing people or teams (bonus if you've led teams through scale).
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills.
  • Low ego, high curiosity, and comfort in being wrong.
  • Strong coaching and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tech and write secure and clean code.
  • Passion for blockchain technology, cryptonomic protocol design, game theory, and decentralized finance.
  • Growth mindset; a desire to learn from and mentor those around you.
