Finance Analyst Job Description

At Expedia Group, we're looking for a highly motivated Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Programs team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analysis to support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager in understanding the financial impact of commercial programs and operational issues.
  • Create and maintain financial models to support business casing and performance analysis, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Management Reporting team to develop and enhance financial reports, ensuring clear and actionable insights are presented to leadership.
  • Extract insights from raw data, identifying trends, variances, and effectively communicate these findings through decks and ad-hoc reports.
  • Assist in the development of monthly performance packs for leadership, ensuring data is presented in a clear, concise, and executive-friendly format.
  • Provide ad hoc finance support as and when required.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years prior experience within a finance function.
  • Strong modelling skills with the ability to analyse raw data and convert into useful insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort in being a subject matter expert.
  • Ability to present data insights in a visually compelling format to finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Highly organized with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple workstreams across multiple time zones.
  • Expert Excel and spreadsheet skills including the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Knowledge of BI tools and data extraction via SQL will be highly beneficial.
