About the Role:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of our R&D team at Hitachi Energy's South Europe Technology Center, leading continuous research and development activities on dry-type transformers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propose and execute standardization projects to cover factories globally, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Analyze current design and processes of all factories, identifying areas for improvement and proposing new ideas to enhance productivity through the introduction of new technologies.
- Understand the impact of changes, assess their implications, and introduce these changes into global technical, material, and production standards.
- Cooperate closely with technical experts from all factories to solve technical gaps and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Keep track of changes with rationale, following workflows while publishing documents and utilizing document management systems and repositories.
- Introduce and track KPIs to monitor the introduction of changes and measure their effectiveness.
- Organize training for design engineers and prepare training materials to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Provide punctual technical support to factories, salespeople, and customers, ensuring timely resolution of technical queries.
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 5 years' experience in dry-type transformer technologies.
- Ability to use external (IEC, IEEE,...) and internal standards and regulations.
- Understanding of technical documentation and drawings.
- Ability to make technical judgments in a field of expertise.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling (desirable).
- Familiarity with document management systems (desirable).
- Team working attitude, solution-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
