Actuarial Services Practice

The Actuarial Services Practice is a global network of over 500 actuaries, with more than 80 actuaries in the European practice. We are looking for experienced actuaries to join our team and contribute to the development of our practice, serving the interests of insurance and reinsurance companies locally.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager Actuarial Consultant to work alongside and learn from Oliver Wyman's industry leaders and other experienced consultants. The successful candidate will contribute to a broad range of client projects, including actuarial modeling, regulatory and accounting issues, and financial risk management. The role requires a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier Actuarial consulting firm, and a strong understanding of the value of collaboration and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in business development and contribute to Oliver Wyman Actuarial proposals and identification of leads with clients.
  • Manage daily responsibilities for the success of some workstreams within actuarial projects, including project management, methodology setting, and deliverable preparation.
  • Develop intellectual capital within the Actuarial Practice and engage in active business development activities.
  • Prepare public presentations or press articles in relation to research updates and manage projects on a standalone basis with the supervision of a Principal/Partner.
Requirements
  • Strong experience of working on risk and actuarial projects within the Spanish & Portuguese market.
  • Understanding of broader key regulatory topics such as IFRS17 and Solvency II.
  • Experience with statistic software like SAS or R and programming languages like C#, C++, Java, VBA.
  • Experienced in mentoring junior consultant colleagues and implementing risk-based capital models in Prophet, AFM, Risk Agility/MoSes, Addactis.
