About the Role

At GEODIS, we are committed to being the growth partner for our clients. As a leading logistics company, we achieve this through our expertise across five lines of business: Supply Chain Optimization, Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, Distribution & Express, and Road Transport.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Customer Account Manager. This role will be responsible for developing and growing our initial customer network for the GEODIS marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to continually raise the bar of execution and drive business growth.
  2. Customer Management: Direct, manage, and execute daily operations in support of our international customer base, ensuring seamless logistics solutions.
  3. Business Development: Participate in the development, implementation, and automation of critical business processes and tools used to track sales process, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance.
  4. Solution Development: Work with customers to continually seek new solutions for their logistics challenges and provide expert advice to drive business success.
  5. Issue Management: Manage any issues that arise in the normal operation of freight movement, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption.
  6. Performance Metrics: Be able to speak to core operational and growth metrics with the management team, providing insights to drive business improvement.
  7. Collaboration: Serve as a partner to our sales team, anticipating challenges and presenting solutions to support GEODIS' objectives.
Requirements
  1. An undergraduate degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience in a professional experience focused on process and operational improvement.
  2. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems under pressure.
  3. Innovative mindset focused on doing things better, faster, more efficiently.
  4. Ability to collaborate and work with a highly diverse set of customers, transportation partners, and internal partners.
  5. Passion for the service needs of our customers and transportation partners.
  6. Analytical and critical thinking ability.
  7. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  8. The ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well.
  9. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  10. Project management experience, coursework, or certification a plus.
