Overview

The Continental Europe Underwriting Center plays a crucial role in Chubb's EMEA operations. This position involves supporting small to medium-sized clients and their brokers in a multilingual environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to brokers, acting as a primary liaison for both external and internal stakeholders related to business processed within the underwriting center.
  • Assess, evaluate, and price risks in alignment with Chubb's guidelines and underwriting authority.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting and sales teams in the Benelux region to ensure portfolio sustainability, promote offerings, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Review and modify underwriting proposals, leading negotiations with brokers.
  • Assist brokers in managing small and medium-sized enterprises by fostering strong commercial relationships, providing quality service, and adhering to deadlines via phone and email.
  • Oversee the effective management of policies throughout their entire lifecycle.
  • Work in partnership with internal departments such as Operations, Claims, and leaders in Small and Middle Market Segments.
  • Support all initiatives necessary to fulfill our business strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Fluency in Dutch is essential.
  • Proficient in English at a business level.
  • A background in insurance is required.
  • Experience in Casualty and/or Environmental risk underwriting is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail, commitment to deadlines, and a proactive approach to enhancing the quality of our services.
