Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Lead Software Engineer to contribute to one of the largest live gaming franchises, specifically within the Candy Crush Soda realm.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Lead Engineer, you will excel in C++ development with a strong emphasis on code excellence. You will enhance team communication, collaboration, and overall effectiveness. Facilitate alignment across various functions and business units, ensuring timely and clear information is shared with all stakeholders, thus driving informed decision-making. You will actively promote knowledge sharing and ensure that critical information is readily accessible to all team members. Possessing extensive knowledge of C++, you will identify and implement relevant software engineering principles, architect intricate systems, and engage actively in game development. You will challenge existing quality standards and take responsibility for the quality of systems and components managed by your teams and collaborators. You will lead the investigation and resolution of live incidents, establishing detection and prevention mechanisms for future occurrences, with a deep understanding of production environments. As a Lead Engineer, you will advocate for a culture of autonomy and accountability across multiple teams, fostering self-management and ownership while defining the scope of work. This role is situated in an R&D environment that encourages experimentation and innovative design. You should possess a drive to advance initiatives and embrace challenges. You should be passionate about resolving complex problems within a collaborative team setting. You will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture, design, stories, and task breakdowns, as well as coordinating technical synchronization. You will need to evaluate various options and assist the team in making decisions regarding technical solutions and processes, including collaboration with the technical leadership team.

Essential Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Exceptional communication and leadership abilities with expertise in inter-departmental technical communication. Strong teamwork skills, proactive attitude, adaptability, and capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. Prior experience with C++ projects is essential. Experience in the gaming industry is advantageous.
