Overview

Position Summary

A Senior Software Test Engineer is responsible for conducting verification and validation processes for clinical software applications, documenting test outcomes and identifying defects.

This role may involve mentoring or overseeing less experienced team members.

The Senior Software Test Engineer operates under the guidance of the project manager and test lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements, specifications, and design documents
  • Develop and implement tests utilizing various methodologies and tools
  • Document and communicate test results
  • Identify and report software defects
  • Engage in Software Risk Assessment activities
  • May assist with:
  • Planning, assigning, and managing testing activities within the project.
  • Reviewing test outcomes and generating reports
  • Creating performance metrics

Required Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years in software functional and non-functional testing or a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with issue tracking and defect management systems.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

  • Experience in software test automation
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming
  • Understanding of Software Engineering Processes
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM)
  • Knowledge of the clinical or medical industry
  • Experience with configuration management tools
  • Awareness of cyber-security principles
  • IT skills for setting up test environments
  • Language proficiency as required by the role.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Protractor/WDIO, REST Assured
