Job Title: Pre-Sale Engineer

Ribbon Communications Operating Company is seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sale Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our Account Directors and supporting the pre-sales process for our Enterprise and Channel account base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to Account Directors and Sales Engineers to ensure successful sales outcomes.
  • Develop and present product and application solutions to potential customers.
  • Coordinate and lead lab trials, directing a variety of resources, and interface with customers and Ribbon engineering as issues arise.
  • Monitor bug fixes and track feature development in code releases, ensuring that Ribbon solutions are selected.
  • Provide ongoing technical presentations to various organizations within assigned accounts to uncover future opportunities and strengthen business relationships.
Requirements:
  • Proven sales support experience and established relationships in the industry.
  • Thorough understanding of Voice over IP standards, applications, and practices.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in the following areas: Voice, NGN, NGN Protocols, Security in NGNs, Ethernet, IP, IP routing MPLS, Access Networks, Hosted/cloud based UC, IPBX and IP Centrex solutions, Microsoft Skype for Business and Teams topologies, Broadsoft & BroadCloud topologies, WebRTC, SIP, VoIP, and other wireline/wireless Voice Technologies, Virtual Machine concepts, Unix, XML, VMWare, KVM, OpenStack, Containers, NFV.
  • Familiarity with NFV, OpenStack, and Containers is highly desirable, as well as a strong understanding of Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Experience in the Telecom industry with a proven track record of selling and partnering with Enterprise accounts, Systems Integrators, Tier 1 and Tier 2 Service Providers.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results orientated, self-motivated industry professional with a good sense of humor.
  • Consultative approach and proven solution selling techniques.
  • Focused under pressure and a good lateral thinker.
  • Excellent business acumen and technically astute.
