Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Software Developer to join our team at Nordex Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control technology functions for wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software functions for operational control of wind turbines and closed-loop controllers using Model-Based-Design and code generation approaches.
  • Develop and test software on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ensure quality assurance through software tests on HiL setups.
  • Collaborate with various departments to investigate and analyze complex control issues in the fleet and develop corrective actions.
  • Define test and acceptance criteria for the qualification of closed-loop control of wind turbines.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Control, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong experience in PLC software development using Matlab/Simulink and IEC61131.
  • Good knowledge of industrial communications protocols (Profinet, ModBus TCP, CAN) and control design techniques (Robust Control, Kalman Filters).
  • Desirable experience in Predictive Control, Fault Tolerant Control, System Identification, and Machine Learning Algorithms.
  • Excellent communication and team skills, with strong intercultural competence.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience.
