**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Coordinator to join our team at Amazon. As a Payroll Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our payroll processing.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Own complex payroll processes and act as a subject matter expert to perform specific tasks within the payroll process.
- Review payroll reports, conduct timely and accurate validations, and implement standard controls to meet process targets.
- Perform assigned tasks with efficiency to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), highest quality standards, and flexibility to support other team processes.
- Stay connected with team priorities and exhibit ownership to identify opportunities to support team tasks and goals.
- Answer queries filed through the ticketing system, exhibiting excellent customer service, detailed problem-solving, and removal of operational roadblocks.
- Conduct Dive Deeps and analysis regarding operational issues or metrics not on target to understand root causes and propose corrective actions.
- Escalate complex issues with recommendations and follow-through completion.
**Requirements**
- 2+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA skills.
- Experience using data to influence business decisions.
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- 3+ years of finance payroll operations/shared services experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
- Knowledge in SAP.
