Green Steel Project Engineer

Alkeymia, a company within the Capital Energy group, is seeking a Green Steel Project Engineer to lead projects from inception to maturity in large-scale initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish project objectives and develop a comprehensive project plan.
  • Coordinate and supervise project engineering, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, practices, and regulations.
  • Develop a subcontracting and delivery strategy to meet project requirements.
  • Establish a project acceleration plan through feasibility studies and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED).
  • Implement measures to prevent occupational risks and ensure effective time management.
  • Manage project budgets and costs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prepare calculations and simulations to support project decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Higher degree in engineering, preferably in the iron and steel sector.
  • Essential knowledge of Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and renewable energies.
  • Desirable financial training and experience in project management tools.
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar positions, with a strong background in the energy sector.
  • Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, and computer tools like ArcGIS and CAD.
  • High proficiency in Spanish (B2 or higher) and English (B2 or higher).

  • Ability to analyze and improve processes, with a focus on project management and documentation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to handle complex challenges and interact with various disciplines.
