Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Green Steel Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking projects from origination and conceptualization to maturity in large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Initiation
- Establish project objectives and scope.
- Develop project schedules and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Project Execution
- Verify compliance with required codes, practices, and regulations.
- Develop subcontracting and delivery strategies.
- Establish project acceleration plans through feasibility studies and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED).
- Project Monitoring and Control
- Prevent occupational risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage project timelines and budgets.
- Control project costs and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Team Management
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure effective communication.
- Prepare and present project reports and updates.
- Education
- Higher degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, chemical).
- Technical Skills
- Knowledge of the iron and steel sector, with a focus on Direct Reduced Iron (DRI).
- Renewable energy and energy market knowledge.
- Financial training and experience.
- Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in similar positions.
- Knowledge of project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ArcGIS, CAD).
- Language Skills
- Spanish: high (B2 or higher).
- English: high (B2 or higher).
