Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Green Steel Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking projects from origination and conceptualization to maturity in large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Initiation
    • Establish project objectives and scope.
    • Develop project schedules and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Project Execution
    • Verify compliance with required codes, practices, and regulations.
    • Develop subcontracting and delivery strategies.
    • Establish project acceleration plans through feasibility studies and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED).
  • Project Monitoring and Control
    • Prevent occupational risks and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Manage project timelines and budgets.
    • Control project costs and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Team Management
    • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure effective communication.
    • Prepare and present project reports and updates.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Higher degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, chemical).
  • Technical Skills
    • Knowledge of the iron and steel sector, with a focus on Direct Reduced Iron (DRI).
    • Renewable energy and energy market knowledge.
    • Financial training and experience.
  • Experience
    • At least 3 years of experience in similar positions.
    • Knowledge of project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ArcGIS, CAD).
  • Language Skills
    • Spanish: high (B2 or higher).
    • English: high (B2 or higher).
