Position Summary: We are seeking a Green Steel Project Engineer to oversee the lifecycle of large-scale projects from initial conception to full implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and establish project goals and objectives.
- Plan, schedule, and manage engineering activities for projects.
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Formulate subcontracting strategies and delivery plans.
- Develop acceleration strategies through feasibility assessments and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED).
- Implement occupational risk prevention measures.
- Manage project timelines effectively.
- Oversee budgeting and financial management.
- Control project costs and expenditures.
- Coordinate efforts among multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct calculations and simulations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering is required.
- In-depth knowledge of the iron and steel industry, particularly in Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) processes.
- Experience in renewable energy and energy markets is advantageous.
- Financial acumen is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years in a similar role is required.
- Familiarity with the energy sector, particularly renewable and gas industries.
- Proficient in project management tools.
- Desirable skills in software applications such as ArcGIS, CAD, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Project.
- Fluency in Spanish (B2 or higher) and English (B2 or higher) is essential.
