A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be responsible for guiding the work team to ensure effective planning and execution of various tasks and activities related to the maintenance and installation of Large Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and Generators.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Oversee and manage new unit installations, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, overhauls, repairs, modifications, and upgrades as designated by management, acting as the shift supervisor or technical site lead.
- Conduct reviews and inspections of necessary standard and specialized tools and equipment during the preparation phase for on-site outages.
- Prepare daily shift activities and ensure a seamless shift handover with colleagues, clearly communicating job requirements to team members and subcontractors.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of check sheets, testing procedures, spare parts lists, daily shift activities, status reports, and field reports, maintaining high-quality standards throughout assembly and disassembly activities during outages.
- Actively collaborate with project engineers, project managers, tooling facilities engineers, outage managers, and HSE professionals during outage preparation activities as needed.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in a technical field, or a Vocationally Trained/High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the power generation sector, ideally with Siemens Energy Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, or Generators.
- Extensive skills and experience in general mechanical maintenance of power generation equipment or in the Oil & Gas sector, with a willingness to work hands-on under pressure and in challenging conditions. Experience with specialist tasks such as general assembly, blades, and vanes assembly on Siemens Gas turbines is a plus.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and independently work with technical drawings, specifications, and unit conversions in line with international codes and standards.
- Proven capability to lead teams effectively.
- Strong English language proficiency, both verbal and written, is essential; additional language skills are advantageous.
- Good digital literacy and proficiency in relevant IT applications (Microsoft Office).
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a readiness to take on additional responsibilities to enhance operational efficiency.
- A creative and lifelong learner, dedicated to developing improved solutions for technical challenges based on solid technical knowledge and personal ingenuity.
- A collaborative team player who communicates effectively and respectfully, capable of solving problems under pressure in a complex environment while working with diverse international teams.
- A solid understanding of HSE and Quality standards relevant to the field.
- Willingness to work and travel independently to various work locations.
