Software Engineer with a Focus on Backend Development

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our cross-functional team at TUI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying software applications that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality, cloud-native applications using AWS services and cloud design patterns.
  • Collaborate with the team to own software products from conception to operation, ensuring a high degree of automation, clean architectures, and high quality.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the AWS toolbox, leveraging AWS services and cloud design patterns in a micro-service landscape.
  • Contribute to increasing automation and efficiency in software development processes.
  • Work closely with the domain's Practice teams and Group Enabler teams to research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes, and tools.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a completed technical degree (e.g. computer science, business informatics) or a comparable qualification. You will also have experience in the further development of products and services, as well as in the implementation of customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of.Net C# and relevant frameworks and concepts, such as.Net and Core, REST, MVC, and Microservices.
  • Good knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL databases.
  • Experience in creating modern ASP.NET applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development and DevOps.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
