Position Overview

Role: Lead Linux Engineer

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

We are in search of a highly proficient and motivated Lead Linux Engineer to become a part of our team. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in architecting, developing, and sustaining our core Android solution. Your responsibilities will encompass leading data collection efforts, log analysis, and the development of endpoint applications and cloud components for Aternity Mobile. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and a critical product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement Linux projects from inception to completion, adhering to timelines and mitigating risks.
  • Linux product development to support customer-facing and platform functionalities.
  • System architecture design, execution, and validation.
  • Agile work environment emphasizing precision, quality, and continuous integration.
  • Collaborate with team members to cultivate a positive engineering culture.
  • Serve as a support contact for teams and stakeholders, acting as a technical 'go-to' resource.
  • Contribute to solution serviceability and sustainability, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Work closely with other teams, DevOps, management, product owners, and stakeholders.
  • Engage in research and self-directed learning to support product vision implementation.
  • Take ownership of your domain, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Enhance skills, mentor peers, and foster a supportive working environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience in Linux development (non-entry level role).
  • Proficient in Linux internals such as system calls, process management, and file systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Golang, C, and C++.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring and data collection tools and libraries.
  • Expertise in application performance optimization and effective system resource management.
  • Understanding of Linux security protocols, user permissions, and access controls.
  • Experience in developing secure applications with a focus on system and data security best practices.
  • Proven track record in maintaining background applications or daemons.
  • Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Attention to detail to identify subtle bugs and inconsistencies.
  • Strong team collaboration skills with a self-directed learning approach.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive, driven by excellence, with a positive attitude.
