About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Development Engineer to join our Reliability and Automation Engineering team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing Amazon's fast growth and technology innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools, and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads.
- Coordinate with internal teams to uncover infrastructure improvement areas and remove them through automation.
- Contribute toward the forward-looking vision for the team.
- Help improve operational excellence by reducing technical debt for the team.
Requirements
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development.
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
- Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
