Job Title:
Junior Project Buyer

Job Description:
Vanderlande Industries, a global leader in material handling and logistics automation, is seeking a skilled Junior Project Buyer to join its team. As a subsidiary of Toyota Industries, Vanderlande specializes in providing innovative systems and intelligent software for warehousing, airports, and parcel sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that all goods and services meet project specifications, target costs, and timelines. This role aims to enhance supplier relationships, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvement within the department.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Strengthen project-focused relationships with suppliers.
  • Evaluate suppliers to ensure compliance with Vanderlande's requirements.
  • Maintain the supplier database.
  • Manage the procurement process from negotiation to material receipt and invoice review.
  • Ensure material and service delivery dates align with project schedules.
  • Analyze purchase costs to meet project target costs.
  • Manage supplier contracts.
  • Verify that engineering specifications are complete and provide all necessary information to suppliers for accurate offers.
  • Ensure received offers are technically correct in collaboration with engineering and the Project Manager.
  • Control the quality of deliveries, including product quality, timely deliveries, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance communication.
  • Continuously integrate into Process Map 2.0.
  • Identify and implement departmental improvement points according to internal policies.
  • Set improvement objectives regarding suppliers and supplied materials, including finding new suppliers and standardizing equipment configurations.


Requirements:
  • University degree or higher education, preferably in technical engineering.
  • Advanced level of English (French is highly valuable).
  • Knowledge in procurement management.
  • 2 years of similar tasks, ideally with experience in engineering or having worked in another engineering company.
  • Ability to take initiative and make autonomous decisions.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain a network of internal and external contacts.
  • High organizational and planning capacity.
  • Process monitoring and improvement skills.
