Job Description

**About the Position:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager IT to join our team at Simon-Kucher & Partners. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for devising and implementing strategic sourcing strategies for IT to maximize cost efficiency, quality, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, potential suppliers, and innovative solutions within the IT sector.
  • Collaborate with IT/Technology Leadership to align procurement strategies with strategic IT initiatives and overall business goals.
  • Analyze the IT supplier contract portfolio to identify synergies, expiring contracts, and optimization possibilities.
  • Oversee supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and contract negotiation to secure favorable terms.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance in conjunction with IT leadership through regular reviews and performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Drive ongoing improvement efforts to streamline Procurement processes and enhance efficiency within the IT category.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines throughout the procurement process.
  • Mitigate risks linked to the IT supply chain, including financial, operational, and geopolitical factors.
  • Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices, supplier selection, and contract management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and best practices in IT procurement to sustain a competitive edge.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Possessing an MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is advantageous.
  • Bring around seven years of proven experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier management roles, ideally in a multinational setting.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of IT products and services, spanning hardware, software, cloud services, and telecommunications.
  • Possess knowledge of contract law, procurement regulations, and ethical sourcing principles.
  • Show a track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects and driving cost-saving initiatives.
  • Have proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Display fluent communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Show strong analytical acumen to interpret data, conduct financial analysis, and make informed decisions.
  • Exhibit excellent Project Management, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate keen attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Be proactive, results-driven, and adaptable to change with a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Possess the ability to lead cross-functional teams and instigate change within the organization.
