Business Contribution:

The Regional General Counsel provides essential legal guidance and services to the commercial leadership and the wider organization across the EMEAI region. This role includes representing the company in various interactions with customers, suppliers, competitors, and governmental bodies. You will be responsible for resolving business or technical challenges by identifying legal solutions and recommending appropriate actions while managing the regional legal budget effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance of contracts with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Oversee the contract process to guarantee adherence to the company's contractual guidelines and customer specifications.
  • Provide advice on employment law issues as needed by HR and management, including contract terminations and enforcement of trade restrictions.
  • Advise on matters related to patents, copyrights, or trademarks.
  • Analyze legal data to assess the advisability and risks associated with litigation.
  • Monitor legal developments in the EMEAI region and assist the General Counsel and business in preparing for future legal changes.
  • Engage and coordinate with external legal counsel as necessary.
  • Offer legal insights on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Support region-specific legal compliance initiatives.
  • Manage legal entity maintenance and corporate secretarial functions.
  • Collaborate with the HSEQ function to promote safety awareness and improvements.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times, adhering to published processes and complying with all company policies and procedures, while prioritizing health and safety.

Required Qualifications:

  • Fully licensed and qualified attorney.
  • 5+ years of experience as in-house legal counsel.
  • Extensive experience in the EMEAI region.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Experience with public companies is a plus.
