About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Reconocida Empresa. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the construction of Ingka properties according to the latest Ingka standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks in a business environment, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Project Management: Initiate, plan, execute, control, and close projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Construction Management: Initiate, plan, organize, execute, and manage the construction of Ingka properties, ensuring compliance with Ingka standards and regulations.
  • Cost Control: Implement budgets, track costs, and identify areas for cost savings, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
  • Timeline Management: Set realistic timelines for construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time.
  • Construction Procurement and Market: Manage internal procurement procedures for construction activities, ensuring compliance with Ingka standards and local regulations.
  • Permission Process: Manage local and national authority permission processes for design and construction activities, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Construction Market, Development Trends: Stay up-to-date with local and national construction standards, codes, and rules, ensuring compliance with Ingka standards.
  • Construction HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment): Ensure a safe construction site and environment for all site personnel, compliant with IKEA Way of Working (IWAY) and national safety and environment standards.
  • Property Safety: Ensure structurally safe properties, equipped with life safety property protection systems.
  • Quality Management in Construction: Ensure quality during design and construction work, ensuring compliance with Ingka standards and regulations.
  • Construction Contracts and Legal Issues: Manage Ingka and local construction and design contract types, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Sustainable Construction: Ensure sustainable construction practices, including evaluation of low-impact construction materials.
Requirements
  • Academic Degree: Engineering or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in contracting and/or consulting and/or owners' role involving construction projects.
  • MEP Equipment Systems Specialty: Preferred experience in MEP equipment systems.
  • Experience within the Retail Sector: Advantageous experience within the retail sector.
  • Previous Experience of Procurement Processes and Contract Negotiations: Previous experience of procurement processes and contract negotiations.
  • Previous Experience of Construction Management on Site: Previous experience of construction management on site.
  • Ability to Communicate Confidently and Clearly in English: Fluent Spanish is a must.
  • Knowledge of Ingka Construction Standards and Investment Procedures: Preferable knowledge of Ingka construction standards and investment procedures.
