**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wildfire Risk Modeler to join our team. As a key member of our climate risk management team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our comprehension and simulation methodologies for wildfire hazards. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing robust methodologies and models aimed at assessing and managing wildfire risk.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide in-depth insights into fire behavior, ecology, and the impact of climate and atmospheric drivers on wildfire hazard and risk.
- Contribute to the development of scientific and technical methodologies for wildfire research.
- Act as a liaison between wildfire science and atmospheric/climate experts to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Lead or co-lead committed projects, demonstrating initiative and ownership.
**Requirements**
- PhD in a technical discipline or Environmental Science.
- Deep knowledge of wildfire science and strong statistical proficiency.
- Experience in catastrophe modeling is a plus.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
