Job Description

We are looking for a Branch Manager for our Barcelona office. The person in this position will play a key role in the growth of the market position of CtrlChain's Spanish Branch.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of our Spanish branch, including sales, transportation planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Manage and provide leadership to a diverse team of carrier managers and key account managers.
  • Bring in new logos and revenue streams from your well-known network.
  • Grow business opportunities by active participation in acquisition and customer meetings.
  • Proactively establish and maintain positive relationships with carriers and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor transportation performance metrics such as on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments and offices in the Netherlands and USA.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and technological advancements in transportation.

Requirements

  • In possession of the certificate issued by the transport authorities that accredit your professional competence for the transport.
  • Completed bachelor's degree or logistics and transport education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with at least 2/3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven and solid network of logistic customers.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Attitude for continuous improvement and driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Confident use of Office 365.
