Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our Enterprise Capabilities team in Europe. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating various projects and teams, providing assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary, and detailed designs for a wide range of projects. Our clients include private and public sector organizations, with long-term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Categorize packages of work to be done by Enterprise Capabilities.
  • Develop project execution plans and collaborate with the Home Office to define the delivery strategy, including the composition of design teams.
  • Review contracts, scope documents, and available data for the project, and establish schedules and budgets for compliance with project requirements and contract obligations.
  • Partner with other EC offices to ensure delivery and execution challenges are understood.
  • Lead a design team working for internal clients, integrating resources from different EC offices.
  • Client liaison, predominantly internal client, and Project / Design Management including program and resource monitoring, quality control, technical management, and delivery.
  • Take leadership initiative in working with all team members, and all AECOM departments involved on a specific Project and achieve an integrated project team approach to the work.
  • Initiate and direct the planning, development, and continuous monitoring of the project scope, procedures, budget, and schedule for the packages of work to be supported by EC.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure EC Project performance towards goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of working on H&D Projects collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams.
