Job Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager with experience in Hydraulics & Drainage projects. The Design Manager will coordinate different projects and H&D staff in EC Europe. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities. You may have the opportunity to work with some of our worldwide technical experts, supporting key Water projects and being part of a diverse and multicultural team within EC Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Categorize packages of work to be done by Enterprise Capabilities.
- Develop project execution plans and in combination with the Home Office define the delivery strategy, including composition of design teams.
- Review contracts, scope documents, and available data for the project, and establish schedules and budgets for compliance with project requirements and contract obligations.
- Partner with other EC offices to ensure delivery and execution challenges are understood.
- Lead a design team working for internal clients, integrating resources from different EC offices (Spain, Poland, India, etc.).
- Client liaison, predominantly internal client, and Project / Design Management including program and resource monitoring, quality control, technical management, and delivery.
- Take leadership initiative in working with all team members, and all Empresa Reconocida departments involved on a specific Project and achieve an integrated project team approach to the work.
- Initiate and direct the planning, development, and continuous monitoring of the project scope, procedures, budget and schedule for the packages of work to be supported by EC. Establish metrics and KPIs to measure EC Project performance towards goals and objectives.
- As an individual consultant, formulate and guide the attack on problems of exceptional difficulty and marked importance to the organization or industry.
Requirements:
Proven track record of working on H&D Projects collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams. 10 years of experience.
