Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Load Calculation Engineer to support our field operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Root Cause Analysis: Actively investigate and identify the root causes of field issues, and provide cost-effective solutions.
- Load Calculations: Perform load calculations for site-specific conditions, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document results and assessments in technical reports, providing clear and concise insights.
- Certification and Claims Support: Assist with certification and claims-related tasks, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Controller Function Optimization: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize controller functions and design components.
- Project Management: Work on projects according to Nordex project management systems, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Toolchain and Methodology Development: Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of toolchains and methodologies, based on field feedback.
Requirements
- Education: M.Sc. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering/Physics or similar, with a specialization in dynamics and simulation.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in similar roles/functions, with a strong background in aerodynamic simulation tools (Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, Flex5).
- Skills: Good knowledge of dynamic simulations of complex systems, fatigue analysis methodologies, and troubleshooting techniques. Optional skills include general analysis software (MATLAB, R), structural mechanics, and automation tools.
- Language: Fluency in English, with ideal skills in Spanish and German.
