Structural Engineer for Concrete Tower Structures

At Siemens Gamesa, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the field of renewable energy. As a Structural Engineer for Concrete Tower Structures, you'll play a crucial role in designing and developing the next generation of wind turbines.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and calculate structural components for wind turbine towers, including pre-stressed and post-stressed structures, pre-cast and in-situ structures, high-performance concrete, and fiber-reinforced concrete.
- Develop and implement advanced calculation methods, including finite element analysis and Abaqus, to ensure the structural integrity of wind turbine towers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement fatigue design and dynamic behavior calculations for wind turbine towers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design standards, including DiBT, Eurocodes, Model Codes, and ACI, to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
- Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to define and specify execution processes and quality control procedures.
- A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to innovation.
- Experience with wind turbine design and operation, including applicable standards and certification processes.
- Knowledge of steel structures, wind turbine towers, lattice structures, guyed structures, bolted structures, and welded structures.
- Ability to work with numerical calculations (FEA) and dynamic behavior design and calculation methods.
- Familiarity with geotechnics, including soil features interpretation and specification of parameters for foundations design.
- Seismic design experience, including soil-structure interaction and calculation methods.
- Intellectual Property knowledge, including patent evaluation.
- Cost analysis and business case development skills.
