Payroll Specialist

At Just Eat Takeaway, we value diversity and inclusion, and we're looking for a talented Payroll Specialist to join our fantastic HR Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a fundamental role in supporting the preparation of an accurate and timely payroll for our employees in Spain.
This is a Fixed-Term Contract opportunity that will challenge you to make a significant impact on our business.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure accurate and timely payroll inputs for submission to our payroll provider.
- Process payroll for up to 3000 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll transactions, including social security contributions and withholdings taxes.
- Review output reports from the payroll provider to ensure all instructions have been correctly interpreted and processed 100% accurately.
- Reconcile all tax and social security deductions, ensuring they are filed and paid accurately and on time.
- Ensure all employees are paid in accordance with the payroll schedule.
- Manage detailed payroll checklists and prepare for Manager review at submission, pre-approval, month-end, and annual-end stages.
- Manage and analyze payroll data to ensure accuracy and provide key information to other teams in the business.
- Manage our People Portals (ticketing systems) and respond to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Check accuracy of GL outputs and manage query resolution.
- Actively participate in team meetings and training exercises.
- Remain updated in payroll legislation and self-develop through our Talent Development library.
- Bachelor's Degree in Labour Relations, Law, or a related field - an advantage.
- 2-3 years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with the ability to take initiative and lead by example.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - empathic, approachable, open, and direct; develops effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
- Organized with a high level of attention to detail and good analytical and numeracy skills.
- Good Excel knowledge (Pivots and VLookups).
- Good level of English.
