About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Technology and Innovation Manager to join our team at Lufthansa Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving technological innovation and digital transformation across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a Strategic Vision: Create a comprehensive strategic vision for technology and innovation that aligns with our business objectives and drives growth.
  • Identify Opportunities: Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes through the use of technology and innovative solutions.
  • Research and Evaluation: Conduct continuous research and evaluation of new technologies, tools, and trends in the airport handling and ground operations industries.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the implementation of technological projects within given timeframes and budget.
  • Operational Safety and Compliance: Ensure operational safety, legal compliance, and cyber and data security in all technological initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. A postgraduate degree is preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated previous experience in a leadership position in technology and innovation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the airport handling sector or related industries.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing technological projects, from conception to implementation.
  • Tech Knowledge: Deep knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in areas such as automation, digital control, data analytics, artificial intelligence, etc.
  • Security and Compliance: Solid understanding of security and compliance aspects in technological environments.
  • Communication: Sound ability to communicate in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
