About the Role

Canonical, a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source, is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Open Source Sales Director to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the global enterprise market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory plan to prioritize outreach and prospecting, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Allocate portions of territory and accounts to sales representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure successful account management.
  • Identify and prioritize new logo accounts in your territory, leveraging your expertise in open source technology and solutions.
  • Ensure that sales representatives have high-quality account plans, providing coaching and feedback to drive sales performance.
  • Monitor new pipeline development by your team, providing regular updates and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Support contract closure to meet and exceed targets, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Represent the company and its solutions, building strong relationships with customers and partners to drive growth and revenue.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's level degree, preferably in engineering or computer science.
  • Leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of driving sales teams to achieve targets.
  • Experience with open source technology and solutions, with a deep understanding of the global enterprise market.
  • Detail-oriented with effective planning and reporting skills, able to analyze data and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Experience in enterprise software or technology sales, with a strong understanding of sales strategies and tactics.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and new account wins, with a proven ability to drive revenue growth.
  • Professional written and spoken English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel for customer engagements and events, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
