Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

At Mitiga Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products.
Key Responsibilities- Software Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure thorough testing of software.
- Test Planning and Coordination: Prioritize, estimate, and coordinate testing activities efficiently to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and execute automation scripts to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
- Issue Communication: Communicate issues to the development team for resolution and ensure timely resolution of defects.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to maintain software integrity and ensure that changes do not introduce new defects.
- Client Expectation Alignment: Align testing activities with client expectations to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Software Deployment: Facilitate smooth software deployment by coordinating with development and operations teams.
- Requirements Gathering: Interact with clients to understand and define system requirements for effective testing.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the CTO to design robust and scalable software solutions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports and documentation on software status and operation for transparency and clarity.
- Experience: Experienced QA Engineer with over 8 years of expertise in quality assurance methodologies and managing developer groups in consultancy settings.
- Skills: Proficient in software development testing and QA methodologies with a strong understanding of agile methodologies. Skilled in creating clear and comprehensive test plans and cases proficient in white box and black box testing. Advanced testing skills in Python complemented by some experience in Java tools (desired but not mandatory).
- Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
- Language: Fluent in English and Spanish effective communicator with diverse stakeholders.
- Personal Qualities: Proactive, independent worker with attention to detail and efficiency committed to continuous improvement. Maintains reliability and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
