Technical Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Leader to join our PreFab Modular Data Center Systems team at Schneider Electric. As a Technical Leader, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions to our customers and serving as the primary technical point of contact for meetings and interviews during the tender and design phase.
Main ResponsibilitiesTender Phase- Participate in project programming with customers to understand and document project requirements.
- Manage design documents to support proposals and enable estimating teams to assemble costs.
- Identify major infrastructure equipment, bid specifications, space and site layout, load calculations, and system diagrams.
- Review major equipment quotes for technical compliance from vendors.
- Provide support for final design documents and production administration.
- Solicit, review, and approve sub-consultant proposals.
- Develop technical narratives for critical infrastructure.
- Work with sales teams to qualify customer needs.
- Perform design improvements to support upgrades and efficient solutions.
- Implement safe, reliable, and economical systems using engineering skills and applicable codes and standards.
- Develop basis of design (BOD) to include design intent, capacity requirements, project ambient conditions, system sequence of operation, and system expansion capabilities.
- Identify applicable codes and ordinances for project location and occupancy type.
- Capture site conditions.
- Travel to meet customers on-site to review and identify their needs.
- Define technical architecture and provide technical support and quality control.
- Manage project timeline commitments and ensure long-term client relationships.
- Manage support and response to request for information (RFI).
- Provide regular onsite assessment.
- Participate in construction meetings as required in the contract.
- Assist the production team with clarification, changes, corrections, and value engineering.
- Provide assistance for change order requests.
- Manage as-built drawings at the end of the project.
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, Electrical Engineering preferable.
- Five years experience with Infrastructure Projects within Engineering teams in Multinational companies and global teams.
- Three years technical experience in Data center Solutions including Secure Power Systems, Cooling systems, Electrical and Mechanical installations, Logistics, and Civil Works.
- Previous Customer facing roles preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a group setting.
- Senior-level experience leading a multidisciplinary team on medium- to large-scale projects.
- Results-oriented, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Influence and convince skills.
- Decision-making and escalation skills.
- Foster cooperation and people motivation in a multi-cultural environment.
- Experience working independently and covering project engineering and technical expert responsibilities.
- Experience in technical document development, material estimates, and vendor evaluation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- English fluency is a must (C1).
- Computer tools at user level: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project.
- Some knowledge of Autodesk REVIT, Autodesk Construction Cloud could be valuable.
