Position Overview
In response to the evolving landscape of the translation industry, Datawords is seeking anIn-House Italian Language Specialist and Content Translator (EN/FR > IT)
to join our dynamic team in Barcelona, contributing to our Multilingual Project Coordination and Translation efforts.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and editing capabilities in their native language, alongside a strong proficiency in translation, which is the core focus of this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute translations or post-editing across diverse styles and terminologies
• Conduct quality assurance on various materials (including website content, subtitles, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with the existing Italian team and multilingual project coordinators
Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Translation Studies, Audiovisual Translation, or a related field
• Proficiency in working languages: Italian (native-level required), with a high command of English and French
• Relevant educational background and professional experience in your native language
• High adaptability and appreciation for a youthful, multicultural work environment
• Strong work ethic, team-oriented, and committed to completing challenging projects
• Proficient in office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and computer literate
• Familiarity with CAT tools (such as Trados or similar) is advantageous
• Previous experience in copywriting is highly valued
Employment Conditions
• Full-time position based in Barcelona
• Compensation and contract terms commensurate with experience
• Standard working hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
